NSF RINGS: Highways-in-Sky

Future Advanced Aerial Mobility (AAM) applications are expected to develop into complex systems of aerial traffic networks, or highways-in-sky. Their safe operation demands reliable UAV communications and networking. This multi-university collaboration among the University of New Mexico, University of North Texas and University of Texas Dallas, investigates spectrum management and coexistence, mobile communications and networking and advanced beamforming and array processing for future advanced aerial mobility applications with a particular focus on robustness and resiliency of these networks in the presence of high mobility.
